Kiera had a good day today. She was showing more signs of being a typical healthy baby -- fussiness, gas, lots of poops and wet diapers, and her first burp. It was a painful burp because of her swollen esophagus -- two weeks old and her first burp -- hard to believe! Fussiness and painful gas were cured with the "treatment" -- thanks Lorna.
I took the opportunity to get Kiera's footprint. Like any two week old, she absolutely hated it. It was a lot of work putting the ink on her foot and in the end her footprint was a little smudged. I'm keeping that smudged footprint anyway -- it is perfect to me just like Kiera is.

Hey, Brenda. I just heard about little Kiera's arrival on Wednesday and have since been following your blog. You're an amazing mom, taking the time to keep the rest of us updated while looking after your little angel. We pray for healing, strength and patience. Sounds like it was a great day! Hoping there are more of those to come and that they only get better from here on in. Thanks again for keeping us updated on Kiera's progress...we love to hear how she is doing!
