In this picture, Kiera is pinned to the bed to keep her arterial line in good position. She loves her soother and although she has a bunch of wires and tubes coming out of her, she is sound asleep and doing fine.
Babies are quick healers and we think Kiera is one of the strong ones!

On behalf of Byron and myself we agree that kiera is one of the strong ones! We will be thinking and praying for you, for the surgeons, for Piper and for Piper's caregivers, and the rest of the staff. The surgery will be over before you know it and then we will all rejoice with you. It is tough to see your child in pain or discomfort and not be able to help and take that away. After her surgery she will feel so much better and it will be more thing that you as a family have accomplished.
I just want you and your family to know that you are ALL in our thoughts and prayers. I will be praying for the surgeons and inner peace for both of you as you await for you precious Kiera out of surgery. She looks so sweet and pudgy:) I hope and pray you can get a good nights rest. Grandma Ang has been keeping me up to date. You guys are in my thoughts and prayers always. You have a strong little girl there and I know that God has her in his hands. Keep the faith and know that there is always someone looking after her and your family.
