Another positive day today. Overnight last night she had 30 ml in the bottle each feeding and at noon she had 45 ml from the bottle, the most yet. Moving out of the NICU was a great thing, Kiera is finally able to rest in a quiet room without all the beeping and commotion around her.
I went in to see Kiera and Brenda this evening and Kiera was a bit unsettled while I was there (gas) but she sure looks good. Brenda is feeling much more positive about things in this ward. The doctors on this ward have indicated that once her antibiotics are done and she doesn't have any infections they would consider sending Kiera home with the feeding tube in place. We would be OK with that.

In today's picture Kiera is being held by Brenda's friend Lorna.

So glad that the hospital listened to Brenda. Go Mom! It appears it was a good move. Hope Kiera and Mom can return home soon. Love, Grauntie Cheryl

Sounds like each day gets better. Hope you are both keeping up your strength as I'm sure it's hard to not all be together.
